MEDICAL WRITERS
SNELL Medical Communication has multiple opportunities for qualified Medical Writers interested in joining our fast-growing Market Access and publication development team.
Founded in 1995, SNELL provides a diverse range of scientific communication services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in the U.S. and Canada. SNELL offers a flexible collaborative environment, including possible remote work-from home positions – both full and part-time.
The Position
This position requires that interested candidates be able to function as an integral member of a dynamic team that provides medical writing services to pharmaceutical/biotech clients. Medical writing services include, but are not limited to, content development within the fields of HEOR, RWE, and clinical science encompassing abstracts, posters, manuscripts and slide decks, as well as training materials and communication materials for congresses and live events.
Successful candidates must possess the ability to:

Meet project deadlines without compromising editorial quality or technical accuracy

Contribute to client presentations and proposals by providing scientific information and therapeutic area expertise

Work simultaneously on multiple projects and different therapeutic areas, sometimes relating to different products in various therapeutic areas
Requirements
-
Advanced degree in scientific discipline (i.e., MS, PharmD, PhD)
-
Minimum 3-years, full-time experience in medical writing, particularly regarding real-world evidence and Health Economics and Outcomes
-
CMPP certification would be an asset
-
Strong project management skills
-
Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects; ability to multitask and work both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
-
Understanding of clinical development process including, clinical study data and outcome measures, particularly relating to hematology/oncology
-
Ability to critically appraise and apply knowledge gained from medical/scientific literature
-
Strong interpersonal skills for effective professional communications with both internal and external stakeholders
-
Ability to effectively communicate complex medical/scientific information
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Power Point), as well as familiarity and working knowledge of key software applications relevant to publication planning and implementation (e.g., EndNote, Datavision/PubsHub, literature search indices, journal databases, etc.).

Solid working knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech industries

Strong understanding of all typical scientific communication deliverables

ACCOUNT MANAGERS
SNELL Medical Communications has multiple opportunities for experienced Account Managers to join our fast-growing client-service team.

The Position
Interested candidates will be able to oversee all aspects of project management and client service for assigned accounts. You will build strong client relationships, proactively oversee effective management of internal resources and timelines, and ensure successful teamwork in order to meet both client and SNELL objectives. You will collaborate with senior management regarding account planning, corporate strategy, and continued business growth.
Successful candidates must possess the ability to:

Requirements

University degree

Minimum 4 years of experience in account management role within medical communications agency, or similar environment

Proactive problem-solving approach

Proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

MANAGER, SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATIONS
SNELL Medical Communication is seeing an experienced Scientific Communication Manager to join our Market Access team. Working directly with the Senior Director and account managers, the selected candidate will assist in directing client projects by providing strategic insights for the development of scientific communication platforms.

Assist with development of scientific communications project platforms

Assist with development of projects, ensuring strategic planning, implementation, and alignment with client objectives

Assist with development of project strategy with internal and client teams

Edit and develop high-quality content for array of projects including, publications (i.e., abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and presentations), advisory boards, scientific platforms, gap analyses, literature summaries, slide sets, training materials, and other scientific communications deliverables

Assess project issues and challenges, and identify and implement solutions to meet client goals maintaining compliance standards

Coordinate writing activities of internal and contracted writing teams
Requirements

Advanced degree in science; PhD or PharmD

Minimum 3-5-years experience in similar role within communications agency, pharmaceutical/biotechnology company, or other equivalent environment

Minimum 1-year experience as medical writer within the fields of RWE and HEOR (scientific communications professional preferred)

Solid working knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech industries and scientific communications (CMPP certification preferred)
-
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex or diverse information

Solid familiarity and understanding of variety of scientific communications deliverables
-
Familiarity with Endnote or other reference management software and publication databases (ie, Datavision)
-
Ability to take initiative, communicate clearly and work collaboratively in dynamic, virtual environment

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

Highly proficient in the following computer programs and systems: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, WebEx (or other similar systems), cloud-based file servers, calendars, messaging systems and work management tools preferred
